You can find us at the intersection of Beddoes and Palmito in Olmito, Tx just down the street from Villareal Elementary School.
We know it can be challenging to reach out to a new space. We want you to feel comfortable and prepared, so below is what to expect when you visit.
On Sundays at 9:30 AM, we gather for a breakfast and fellowship. You can park along the side of the building or in the grassy area near the future Church Garden, if spots have filled up. When you enter in through the double doors under the awning, you'll see into our Sanctuary. By 10:30 AM, our worship service will begin where we will sing in worship and listen to a message. This time of corporate worship is presented bilingually.
In our Sanctuary, we have a Family Room that is open to parents whose little one just needs some extra space to nurse or play with some baby-friendly toys and books during Worship. We also have Worship Bags available for kids who might enjoy a fidget toy, sensory tube, or other activity to help them participate in our worship time together more fully.
After worship, preschool and elementary-aged children have the option of heading upstairs for Children's Church, where they have their own Bible study, worship time, arts and crafts, and games presented in an age-appropriate format. They can also choose to stay downstairs with their families to participate in the rest of the main worship service.
During the week, we meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM for Dinner and Bible Study groups. Our focus on these evenings is to create connections and build disciples with those that gather with us. We have groups for children (0-4 years old, 5-11 years old), teenagers (Middle School/High School), and adults (English/Spanish). The children engage in hands on activities that show the wonder of God's creation all around us. Our youth will engage in group activities and lessons focusing on practical ways to apply your faith in a modern world. We take an honest look at ourselves and the world around us as we discuss God's word and its impact on our lives. During dinner or after our Bible studies, you may find several students, from elementary to graduate school, hanging around to get tutoring or support for the academic work.
Fun Fact: You'll notice an emphasis on education throughout our programs. Most of our leadership are current or former professional educators!
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." - John 10:10
Our desire is to live life together, navigating the highs and lows of life as followers of Jesus Christ. Life can hurt, but the hope and peace that only Jesus provides is the answer. It's okay if your children won't stay still, if you've had a rough week, or haven't had time to do laundry. We definitely get it. Come join us as we share life's successes and failures, and learn about our Savior who brings peace that surpasses all human understanding.
"Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”" - Luke 18:16-17
Jesus welcomes each of us to begin our walk with Him just as we are. Are you just getting off of work or after school practice? Come join us in worship. Not sure what to wear? Casual attire is perfectly fine. Come with a heart ready to share, to learn, and to grow. You are welcome here.
